Home Interior Design Trends That Are ‘In’ This Year

Do you have fresh goals and ambitions for 2023? If they involve making improvements to your home, you’d certainly benefit from knowing about what this year’s biggest home interior design trends will be.

To do our bit to help, we’ve recently carried out some extensive online research to uncover the following – “what are the design trends for 2023?”.

There are lots of them, but we’ve picked out three of the best that you shouldn’t have any problem copying when you come to try and redefine your home’s look.

Wild Wonder™ – Dulux Colour of the Year

The delicate green shade called ‘Wild Wonder™’ has been revealed as the Dulux Colour of the Year for 2023.

For two decades, the paint experts have selected a colour that matches the mood of the moment and the nature-like undercurrent of Wild Wonder™ does that as we’re at a point when nature is being severely threatened by the growing impact of climate change and we need to do everything we can to save it.

The gentleness and warmth of the colour makes it suitable for all rooms, but most specifically, home offices, kitchens and bedrooms.

Unconventional rugs

There are no rules with rugs this year, so say goodbye to your standard circular, square and rectangular rugs and welcome angular, curved and geometric rugs into your conservatory design.

A floor covering with a quirky pattern and irregular shape is bound to earn a reaction from people and it can quite easily be the main centrepiece of a room.

Demonstrate your eccentric side to all and sundry.

Social spaces

It wasn’t for a long time after Covid that we were once again permitted to have lots of people in the house, so we’ve still got a lot of catching up with friends and family to do.

The next social occasion you have, and those subsequent to it, could be hosted in a kitchen that features a large island and breakfast bar so that whoever plays chef can join in the conversation with everyone else.

The party games can then commence after dinner in a well-insulated conservatory, orangery or home extension that has plenty of light at night.
