History Of The Desser Brand
The well-known brand had humble beginnings. Established in 1919, the company began supplying furniture through two generations, initially from the founder, Isaac Fleming’s, mother-in-law’s house.
Now Desser supplies furniture all over England, Scotland and Wales but despite its growth, it has still remained a family-run business, four generations later.
The idea was born during WW1 when Isaac Desser met a Flemish craftsman when he was serving as a British soldier on the front line in Belgium. He was inspired to start a furniture company celebrating traditional craftsmanship back in England once the war was over.
