How To Make Your Conservatory Feel And Look Christmassy
Here’s something that will frighten you if you’ve yet to start your Christmas shopping or prepare for the big day – Christmas Day is now just two weeks away!
Anyone already gripped by festive fever will have scoured the internet and headed down to their local high street to bag some presents for their friends and loved ones. They’ll have also put up their tree and began making preparations for the Christmas meal.
If you don’t yet feel in a festive mood, something that’s certain to get you into the spirit of the season is giving your conservatory a Christmas makeover. This will also make it the perfect setting for carving up the turkey and tucking into it together whilst the Queen’s Speech is on.
You need to act fast though, which is why we thought we’d help you by providing some Ho Ho Ho simple decorative ideas…
Add some festive stickers to the windows
Allow the little ones in the family to get involved in your conservatory decoration duties and buy some easily removable festive stickers that they can place onto the windows of the extension.
They might include Santa on his sleigh, a friendly snowman or a few snowflakes. Get the Christmas tree in there too in close proximity to the stickers and get them to pose alongside it for a photograph that you will treasure forever.
Let it throw! Let it throw! Let it throw!
You want the cosiest possible atmosphere in the conservatory once everyone settles down to watch the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special.
Place some thick red and white coloured throws on all of the available sitting areas so that your house guests can keep warm and get comfy under the colours of the one and only Father Christmas.
Give the extension a whiff of Christmas
Mulled wine and mince pies are the order of the day and you can buy candles with those exact scents so that guests are greeted with that unmistakable smell of Christmas when they walk in.
There are even candles on the market that give off the smell of a burning log fire when you light them, and you can’t get a more Christmassy aroma than that.
If you’re unable to use your conservatory at Christmas because it isn’t well-insulated, you could always order a solid roof from James Oliver now so that it can definitely happen next year.
