How To Make Your Home Look Irresistible

Jun 9, 2017

We have all at some point in our lives walked or driven past a property and thought to ourselves “I would love to live somewhere like that.”

You want someone, somewhere, to have that exact same feeling when they come into contact with your own home for the first time, whether you have any intentions of selling or not.

This will only ever likely occur if you give the outside of your home the proper care and attention it deserves.

Here’s how to make your place irresistible:

  1. Replace old windows and doors

The windows and doors are two of the most prominent features of any house so they need to look pristine. Old timber windows and doors are unlikely to have the pretty aesthetics they once did, so replace them with modern UPVC or aluminium equivalents as they’ll contain a sparkling finish that you will never have to preserve.

  1. Do up your driveway

Creating a paved driveway can add value to your money. An unsightly paved driveway can have the opposite effect and completely turn people off. It can easily be replaced by removing the existing paving stones and fitting brand new interlocking paving blocks. Once done it will transform the look of the entire property, not just the driveway.

  1. Love your garden

If it’s been a while since you’ve got your fingers green some of your plants, shrubs and hedges may not just look a little worn out, but they could also be obstructing your home from view. Suitably prune and trim them whilst also keeping the lawn in neat condition and planting so that some colourful flowers eventually blossom.

New windows and doors aren’t something we recommend you install yourself. Leave it to James Oliver Conservatories as we have the fitting experience needed to give you a gorgeous and glamorous abode.
